Effective Communication

A lot of time and energy can be saved when we communicate more effectively at work. The busy lives we create may make us think we need to be quick and brief in order to get everything done. For us to be able to be really quick and brief, however, we need to be precise in our communication with others and it is essential we make sure they understood what we meant to say. A lot of time is lost when we keep having to go over the same topics and dealing with the same issues over and over again.

Effective Communication also requires we create the setting in which people will willingly contribute and collaborate. To be effective and efficient we need to substitute gossiping and complaining, as an outlet for frustration, for transparency and an open dialogue that considers multiple points of view an asset for informed decision making.
