Have you noticed that when a situation becomes more intense it is harder to find the right words? It is usually in hindsight that you say to yourself: “That’s what I should have said! Why didn’t I think of that?!” Through Empathic Communication we train ourselves in emotional awareness so that we can have the clarity that we need. Emotions may be overwhelming but only because you have not learned to understand them better. When you look with compassion at others and yourself, you will see a different reality in which we all strive for a positive outcome even though we are not always successful in doing so.
Whenever you see conflict as a problem you have basically already shut yourself down to the possibility of a joyful solution. This is neither right nor wrong. It is just that more options will be available to you when you keep an open mind. I will support you through my training to achieve this peaceful composure through which conflict becomes an opportunity for deeper connection and understanding.
Empathic Communication strengthens our ability to inspire compassion from others and respond compassionately to others and ourselves. It guides us to reframe how we express ourselves, how we hear others and resolve conflicts by focusing our consciousness on what we are observing, feeling, needing, and requesting. It is an antidote to feelings of guilt and shame that may block transparency. Using a compassionate communication language awakens empathy, honesty and creates connection instead.
